What is The Social Connection?
The Social Connection is a social events and adventure
club that provides active, upscale professionals
the ultimate social calendar. We leave the word
adventure open for interpretation. For us, adventure
means trying something new and different and that’s
what The Social Connection is all about. We offer
members and participants, whose ages range between
25-45, the opportunity to develop casual or romantic
new relationships with other busy professionals
like you. The Social Connection acts as your personal
social concierge offering you an opportunity to
get involved expanding your personal, social,
business and romantic network with a calendar
full of social events and activities to choose
from.
How does it work?
We take care of all the logistics so you can step
out of your daily routine, whether it is for a
few hours, a day trip, or long weekend excursion.
Our professional event coordinators are constantly
researching new and exciting things to do. If
it’s going on in Detroit, we are sure to
be there as well as investigating fun activities
and outings that may be off the beaten path. All
you have to do is sign up, show up and have a
great time! Once you arrive at the location, you
are greeted by one of our professional event hosts
who are there to make sure the event runs well
and that you are meeting new friends.

Events?
All types of people join The Social Connection.
We are geared toward fun-loving people with adventurous
sprits, who enjoy trying new things and staying
active. Typically our members are time-starved
professionals who are proactive in their career
lives but don’t always have the time to
plan their social calendar. If you want to meet
other discerning people who want to enhance the
quality of their lives, then The Social Connection
is for you.

Do I have to be a member
to attend?
Events are open to members and non-members. Members
receive preferred pricing on all events and a
host of other benefits including a free event
monthly, our “Get Connected” introduction
service, discounts to other Social Connection
companies including Quick-spark and Table for
Eight – Reservation for Two. Members also
receive monthly promotions, coupons and other
values to save at local restaurants and venues.

Can I feel comfortable
attending an event by myself?
Absolutely! About 90% of those who attend our
events arrive without a friend but end up leaving
with several new ones. We have a professional
staff of hosts to put you at ease right away and
make you comfortable by introducing you to others
at the event. Most people feel like “one
of the gang” within the first few minutes.
How many events do you
hold on a monthly basis?
Currently you will find between 6 and 10 events
and adventures per month. As the number of our
members increase, so will the number of our events.
Eventually, you will find 20 or more events per
month to choose from. Events that are free to
members are designated on the events calendar.
Non-members can attend the designated free member
events for the posted non-member fee.
What do I do if I can't
attend an event that I've registered and paid
for?
Certainly we realize that life throws all kinds
of curve balls and things come up that prevent
registered participants from attending our events.
Of course, our staff takes a great deal of time
and preparation to ensure that all of our events
are well organized so everyone has a great time.
As part of our planning we work closely with our
partner venues who require "minimums"
to use their facility or "guarantees"
for the total number of guests for staffing purposes
and food orders/preparation. We think we've come
up with a refund
policy that's fair to both our guests
and our partner venues. You may send a substitute
in your place...just call us and let us know!
If you cannot attend an event and are not eligible
for a refund, we REALLY appreciate a call to our
office or the venue as many of our events and
activities involve teams and may require even
numbers of participants (i.e. euchre). This allows
us to make the necessary changes so that we are
not disappointing or inconveniencing any of our
other guests! :)
What is the membership process?
Simply fill out our member profile and select
the type of membership that works best for you.
The safety of our members is a top priority, therefore,
we require a copy of a valid driver’s license,
passport or government issued id and a recent

How much is a membership
and how do the fees work?
The social connection has several membership options
to choose from. Our membership is based on a monthly
fee. Our members spend an average of about $75
per month including their monthly fees and the
events that they attend. Most people tell us they
spend that much in one weekend going out to a
movie and dinner with friends or to the bar. You
get more than you can imagine for less than you
